What not to submit

Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank account information, tax returns, W-2s, 1099s, dates of birth, identity documents, or other sensitive tax-return data through the general marketplace intake or assistant. Those materials should be exchanged only through the secure workflow of the professional or firm you choose to engage.

How information is used

Marketplace information may be used to qualify and route requests, identify potential provider matches, communicate about the requested service, evaluate provider applications, operate and improve the marketplace, prevent misuse, and maintain business records.

Sharing for matching

Information necessary to evaluate a potential fit may be shared with participating professionals or firms. A professional engagement is not created merely because information is shared for matching.

Provider data

Professional applicants may be asked for information relating to identity, credentials, PTIN or e-file status, specialties, service area, experience, and available capacity. Yakima Tax Pros may use reasonable verification processes before activating a provider profile.

Security and retention

We use administrative and technical measures intended to protect marketplace information and retain it only as reasonably needed for marketplace operations, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and business records. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask that marketplace contact information be corrected or deleted, subject to legal, security, and record-retention obligations. Provider-specific tax records are governed by the practices and legal obligations of the independent professional or firm holding those records.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the marketplace, professional network, security controls, and legal obligations evolve.
